Thanks to both our hosts, Tracey and Nick and to Janet for keeping us well provided for with an enormous fruity curry, hot soup, nibbles, olives, tea, coffee, wine, etc…

These notes were compiled on the night using two digital Olympus Dictaphones, digital camera equipment and my own Olympus 2mpx digital camera, (specifications of these items are in the report for 12th April).

Greenways Farm is steeped in history. In all probability it has its origins back in the aftermath of the Black Death of 1348, when up to half of the population of Europe and the British Isles was wiped out and the death knell of the Feudal System was sounded. For the fortunate few, this meant renting or even owning large tracts of enclosed land, which became the quintessential patchwork quilt of the English Countryside.

Priests House, Alfriston, (NT): The first property to be purchased by the fledgling National Trust, in the final decades of the 19th century. Then treasured as an important part of our national heritage and very similar in architecture and age to Greenways Farmhouse, Kent.

The evening started with a lively tour of the extensive farmyard and outbuildings, which house sheep, cattle and poultry. ‘Free range’ means just that here - where you seem to be always in the company of a battalion of hens - who seem to grow more numerous on our every visit.

As these accounts are compiled it may become possible to identify common themes and names of spirit contacts. We may be able to even ‘profile’ some of our contacts -who may not have had such a prolonged opportunity for dialogue with ‘the living’ until now. For them, as for us, this is a very new experience. It is the mutual nature of this kind of research that is central to our thinking. We are attempting to prove the reality of ‘life after death’. This is one of the greatest mysteries facing humanity and only by facing our own failings and always remembering who it is that we are trying to contact – not what!! – for they are sentient folk just like us and hopefully interested enough in ourselves to heed our desire for contact.

Meet the neighbours: these folk lived near Greenways Farm, way back in the Eighteenth Century. Maybe, they might come ‘in visitation’ one night. They lived in a world long gone. One wonders what they think of our times…..

Living Room soon after 8pm: Patrick McNamara started this stage of the session by dispelling many possible misconceptions that might be entertained by any of the new participants. “Nothing will frighten you………..everything is recorded……………when you settle down…………..I think you will enjoy it…………it’s a nice atmosphere.”

(The following text covers conversations between PM and Nancy, Jess and Maureen. Unfortunately, the writer is entirely unfamiliar with their voices and therefore refers to them as, ‘the young lady, or young ladies, whenever the plural is required).

(PM to one of the young ladies) “…….. you need to exercise and he is also talking about your chest – (much giggling ensues) – he doesn’t want to embarrass you – but he knows about your chest – you want to have something done to your breast – you understand that? – he’s telling me about it but he doesn’t want to embarrass you. (Young lady) “Is he telling me to do it or not to do it?” (PM) “No, but do you understand what he is saying – now I couldn’t have known that – because – as I said – your uncle when he was a lad – was a real one for the ladies – (here, the young lady agrees) – he had so many girls it was unbelievable…… it was always ‘Pat’ let me out of this one…….. it was not that he loved wisely but that he loved too well – they were everywhere……. (She agrees with the description)……he was a good looking boy actually”. (Young lady) “He was”. At this point I hear on the recording several odd sounding words finishing with ‘Miranda’. I cannot easily tell whether it is in fact Patrick who is speaking – it could not be anyone else – I was holding the Dictaphone at the time. Patrick went on to explain that that was all he had and maybe more would become apparent during ‘Circle’. (PM) “He’s telling me basically that you are a very pretty girl – why do you want to have all this done  - do you understand – why do you worry about your nose? – because he’s saying you’ve got a pretty nose – you’ve got a pretty face – and he’s saying basically – you’ll hurt it – all they’ll do is change it a bit  – you’ve got the world at your feet – he knew – he had a good eye for the ladies – you don’t have a problem. Bird Watch – you like watching birds?” (Young ladies “No”). (PM) “Whys he putting – ummm – a bin round your neck? – I thought it was a little pair of binoculars - there’s something around your neck – it’s a chain with a card on it – a card – a membership or something – like a college card – are you starting college?” (Young lady) “In the middle”. (PM) “In the middle of it? – do you have something on a chain………..like a card ……..could you put this around your neck – its like a chain with a square card about that big, (he indicated a small square) – that’s why I thought it was binoculars………..that’s clarified.”

(PM)”Errr………take your time – you’ll be old before you know it – your in a hurry to grow up – slow down and enjoy yourself a bit more – you understand……..don’t worry about it – and also something about – umm – someone’s given you some money to put into an account – a bank account – you understand that – right, so you understand that?” (Reply “Yes” – from one of the young ladies). (PM) “Because it has just gone into your account………….and also you know why he is putting a ring on your finger as well – well what he is giving me here is – he is putting a ring on – what it normally means is success or a boyfriend – OK – there’s someone coming into your life – he says be careful…………you understand that?” (Reply “Yes”) (PM) “He’s talking about your ankle – it’s a bit weak.” (Young lady replies) “I fell over the other day”. (PM) “Yes, because he’s saying you are not very sensible – yes – you understand that?” (Reply “Yes”). (PM) “………..but you love music don’t you?”(Reply from young lady,” Yes”). (PM) “Really love music – but you have odd taste, he says…….. (More is given but unfortunately is impossible to decipher) ….not everyone’s taste but she likes it……what’s to do with chewing gum – because he’s saying you always have chewing gum in your mouth ……..(More is indecipherable)…. (Here, again addressing himself to one of the four new people to our group)……...but he is just talking here - there was some kind of big row or argument wasn’t there – let me put it this way – everything wasn’t quite right – there was some disharmony there – you understand that? –some disharmony there – but he’s just saying now that he’s sorry for a lot of it – for what he said – you understand? – he’s saying he’s sorry for a lot of what he said – I don’t know – I never met the man – I don’t know who or what – I’m just giving you what I’m getting here – and it was an awkward situation – and he could have handled it better – you understand - apologising – I don’t know why but he is apologising  - he’s just saying I could have done things differently – he’s trying to make good some of the damage he caused – (She agrees “Yes, I know”) – I don’t know what that is – I can only give you what I’m getting – but …………he’s a nice bloke………..yes – yes he is - coz –a – someone says that he says as people get to know you a little bit more you are going to have a circle of friends around yourself – err a little bit more – err -  you have got to involve yourself a little bit more – you tend to be a little bit shy -  you understand that? -  (Yes in reply from one of the young ladies) – yes – err – you like photography he says.” (Young lady replies, “Not really”). (PM) “What he’s doing is he’s taking photographs of you – someone’s just recently taken photographs of you.” (Young lady replies. “Yes on holiday……..”) – you understand all those photographs that have been taken – you understand it’s a little bit of evidence for you”. (Here it is worth pointing out that the young lady had been photographed, that very evening, for this article by the writer just before the above text was recorded).

Settle down and when you are sitting comfortably I will begin: Nancy, Carlos, Jess and Maureen after the ‘farm tour’. Patrick is out of shot near the photographer. Two or three likely looking ‘orbs’ lurk in front of Maureen.

(PM) “……there’s a little dog – there’s a dog in spirit here – its not a little dog actually – it’s a bigger dog – there’s two dogs…….you understand that? – you understand the dogs?” (Young lady) “err – yes – it could be” (PM) “ ………why is he showing me a big tree - he’s showing me a tree but its not an English tree – its like a Yucca……..12 years ago I’ve got it in my back garden……it’s a Yucca tree – its a spiky one – like a coconut tree – something about you travelling – you want to travel – you want to go abroad – are you going to Miami? – he’s saying you’re a bit of a gambler as well” (Young Lady sounds amused but her response is indistinct) (PM) “……….. well, he’s telling me here that there’s something here that you are going to do that is a bit of a gamble –also why are you putting an earphone in your ear? – do you walk around with an earphone in your ear? – do you always have a telephone – an earpiece in your ear for some reason? - (She says, “yes”) - Its like – um – like someone communicating – I don’t know – I’m not going to alter it – maybe he wants you to know your going to be able to hear….. it runs in your family – you know you are all psychic.” (Young lady replies “yes”) (PM) “Thomas – who is Tom? – two names – I’ve got Tom and I’ve got the name Luke – Maureen, who is Tommy - Tom?” (Maureen) “I have someone on my mums side…..” This recording ended at 9.10pm.

(PM) “…I’m not going to alter it……no no. you might as well know your going to get another……(?)………(Lady replies “there’s nothing wrong with that!”)  (I joined this conversation late and it appeared to relate to Maureen’s brother-in-law). (PM) “And – err - I’ve got your mother and she’s saying – she’s saying ……you’ve got to a point now where really bad…. (prospects?)….and she’s saying ‘leave it out – I don’t know what this is – I haven’t spoken to you recently.” (Maureen replies, “No-no you haven’t have you”). (PM) “And what she’s saying…she’s standing here and why is she giving me a bracelet – its broken – she’s showing me a bracelet – its broken – there’s something wrong with it – have you got one of those – its got a clip like that .” (Maureen: “Uhhh – not sure”). (PM) “I’m not going to alter it – another thing is that she is waving all her fingers in front of me and she is saying ‘its great to have ‘em all back! (Maureen: “lovely!!!” (PM) “ You understand?” (Maureen “Yes”) (PM) “ And yes – it was her the other night – you had a dream or something.” (Maureen “Yes”) (PM) “She’s saying ‘Yes it was her and she’s saying ‘ you know - don’t worry about it’-  yes, because you were crying……(Maureen agrees)…..don’t worry about it - what it was – was you were with her and you cant remember it because you were out of your body and what happens is that when you – when you are asleep sometimes you actually go to where she’s living – it’s a really nice place – but when you came back – you came back in a rush – you were woken up -  (Maureen: “Yes”) – and because you were woken up in a rush you were disturbed and you still had fragmented memories of it – (Maureen: “Yes, yes – oh! it was awful”) – and that’s what its about because you came back with force and don’t worry about it – you did not want to lose her because where she is is a really happy place – and when you are pulled back with force its ‘OHH’!!’ – (Maureen: “Yes – yes”) - and that’s why you were upset.” (Maureen: “I was, I was, yes I was.”). (PM) “She’s saying ‘she was with you and you were with her and……..and she’s saying…. (Indecipherable but clearly a subject for merriment!) – She’s talking about the change of glasses you’ve got. …and – um – talking about. ……(Indecipherable)……certain difficulties but you know that – difficult because you have been interfering with it ……..you realize - you realize at the same time what the border line between the two – and you’ve got to let go of it a little bit – umm – as far as the financial situation is you were going to put a certain amount of more money into a certain account……….it will help - that also means that she won’t be relying on other people and it will give her a little more freedom – that’s what she says – I don’t know what it means – (Maureen seems to understand) – err – she’s also talking about caffeine or cakes? (Maureen: “My great grandmother’s cakes”). (PM) “ Cakes…….and she’s talking about – you are going to be buying a new video camera ….. what I’m seeing – I’m seeing fast moving film – you are going to be taking a lot of pictures – umm – its like a new camera – a camera – and also talking about going to Cyprus – going out to Cyprus – but you’ve booked it for something else, haven’t you - you understand that – your looking at some other property in Cyprus.” (Maureen: “We are going to sell it”). (PM) “What you were doing was – you were looking at the other property to see what price it was going at – because that is what she is saying ‘tell her she’s been looking at these properties………’she saying, ‘there’s of course going to be a lot of trouble over there’ – that’s what she’s saying…….. She’s also talking about a boat – you haven’t got a boat have you Maureen?” (Maureen: “No”). (PM “Why am I seeing a boat? – are you travelling on some sort of a cruise or something?” (Maureen: “No”. But apparently one was ‘offered’ to her – not very clear.”). (PM) “ that’s what it is - she’s talking about a boat trip – like a ship – this is your grandmother – your Nan and she’s talking about – err – err - the boat – you work on the boat ……(one of the young ladies responds: “I’ve just sent off my application”.) …………that’s what she is talking about”……..you never know darling, you never know – but –err- she’s just saying that –err –that once again you are at the right age to enjoy your life but don’t make the same tragic mistake as me – yes – (young lady assents) – men, she says its like everything else, she says – they are a bit like chocolates she says – eh – you got sweet ones and you got hard ones – but at the end of the day they are all digestible – you can always throw them away!” (Much laughter) (Someone: “and spit ‘em out”). (PM) “That is exactly what she said!……I am just talking to her because she’s very direct and there’s a lot of love in it meant and she’s talking about you doing something about your shoes – doing something about your shoes – getting a new pair – err – and – err – (Young lady says “Yes” to my inquiry to her about getting new shoes) – err – also – have you got new shoes? – got new shoes? – whys she giving me a set of new shoes? – (Young lady replies but it is indistinct) – so you understand why she’s saying new shoes – because this is something you will understand – she’s saying a shoe – coz you lost it – I just wondered why she is holding it up and shaking it a shoe – its just once again to show you that she’s there…………….why is she showing me a painted fingernail? – that’s an odd thing you don’t see many girls nowadays with painted fingers……(Much laughter) – I don’t know………and – err – there is definitely something to do with a birthday – a special birthday – your eighteen - she’s showing me a key – again – that’s twenty one – you’ll be twenty one – your eighteen of course – that’s a special birthday and she’s going to be there for you – I’m going to close on that one at the moment because they are building energy and hopefully – as I said – you’ll sense or you’ll feel something – and then you’ll be able to tell me! – it’s much better that way.” (Me to myself – this, I hope, reveals some of the practical problems posed by undertaking this kind of recording) “That was Jess and her mum and the time now is – (The young lady corrects me) – aunty correction – her aunty - and the time now is twenty past eight – I’m still getting the names confused – but – umm – the difficulty is that I can’t see who was talking to who when I play it back on my headphones – and that’s – err – a bit of a disadvantage – you’re the one who had the discussion about feet? – now can I find out something that is specific to you? – specific to you that he brought up that will guide me – um – in working out what was said and to who? –(She replies: “Appearance – appearance”) (Me: “ Ok – appearance”…puzzling reply)….now I have not got much for Carlos here – which is really irritating because, I think, that he got some information.” (Carlos replies that he got information about his family, a name ‘Pedro’ – his grandfather? and the name‘ Joiee’).

Pleased to meet you: Nancy and Jess get on well with their new acquaintance. It is all a matter of communication and that is central to what we are trying to achieve with this project at Greenways. To prove to the world that the door can be opened and that there really is someone on the other side.

9.00pm   CIRCLE

From the outset the question has been how to record the actual Circle, given that it has to take place in virtual darkness and everyone has to be ‘linked’. These conditions are absolutely critical for any real chance of successfully witnessing any  ‘phenomena’. Note taking is impossible and the only other option is that of Dictaphones set to ‘Voice Activation’. Then, the proceedings are open to the charge of being entirely without independent witness and therefore findings are potentially ‘biased’. My role, as a ‘non-psychic’ has been to fulfil this role, but I could not do so if I were to be ‘part’ of the Circle and sitting in complete darkness.

However, what if I – as witness and observer – were to have access to an external viewing screen linked to the special cameras recording the session? I would be outside of the room and able to see everything as it happens. This is precisely what we now do.

The Big Picture: My new vantage downstairs enabled me to observe the Circle through the  camera lens. Although I could not witness any of the ‘clouds’ etc, which Patrick spoke of observing, I did see a large ‘Orb’ that can be seen on this page of our Website. It must always be remembered that these observing devices – low light and low red cameras and Dictaphones work - within strictly defined operational parameters. Should we be surprised if a device specifically designed to record these segments of the electromagnetic spectrum, fails to detect ‘psychic phenomena’ – to use that dreadful term, the nature of which, in specific scientific terms has yet to be established.

Circle was arranged so that Janet was seated on the rhs just below and in front of the camera – so that I could just see the top of her head, the two lights, coloured red and blue, were sited on the axial beam, (an ancient timber which helps to stabilise the opposite timber walling), which was immediately above my lens and out of shot. Seating order clockwise, (viewed from my camera): Karl, Maureen, Nick, Tracey, Patrick, Nancy, Jess, Carlos and finally Janet, to complete the ensemble.

What follows is my transcription of the recording made on the Dictaphone situated on the Axial Beam above the participants. I add my comments where appropriate:

 (PM) “Everyone join hands – Someone exclaims. “Look at the trumpet – it’s moving – it’s pointing towards me”. (PM) “ Look at the top of the trumpet it is twitching – join feet - I’m going to start with the Lords Prayer as I always do………….”

“Our Father, who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth, as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us, lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil, for thine is the Kingdom, the power and the glory, for ever and ever, Amen.”

(Second prayer)

“Great Divine Spirit, I ask for your protection and guidance for all of us in this room. I ask that our Guides and Guardians may now draw near to us and protect us and keep us free from all harm, be it real or imagined, psychical, astral or spiritual. I ask, Great Spirit, that all those who are necessary for communication may now be put into place in this room. I ask that all the chemists, and that all of the Spirit Guides who now work with them and with us to create communication. Thankyou.”
 
(PM) “Everybody just relax now – as I say, you’ve got nothing to worry about – you are making contact with your feet? (Karl: “Music?”) (PM) “Yes please”. (This is classical music playing softly in the background). (PM) “The first thing you’ll notice is that there’s a breeze as well  - do you feel a little cold draught? -  coming over your hands (someone says “Yes”) – you feel it? – can you feel a draught – (someone answers: “I can feel it round my knees”) – and yet it’s a very warm night and its the spirit mist moving amongst us – I feel ‘Jenny’ being called – there’s a Jenny in the room – you can feel that can’t you? – can you feel the cold draughts around you? – (Replies: “Yes, yes”) – as I said, it’s a very warm night – there’s nothing that can cause them – you may see little lights as well – (Tracey) “He’s singing downstairs isn’t he – yes he is” (Karl) “I can hear something”. (Tracey) “Yes, he is - can he hear us?” (Karl) “Yes”. (Tracey to me – who was not singing) “SHUT UP!!!” (PM) “Malcolm – DON’T SING!! (Malcolm who is absolutely no songster of any description remains baffled) (PM) “Did you see the flash of light across the ceiling there? (Several people can hear sounds but this is explained by the fact that a flock of sheep have managed to enter the yard surrounding the house and I can actually see them looking at me through the kitchen window!!) (PM) “I think that everybody in this room is tense, Karl – so I think that what we are going to need to do is that if you turn the red and blue lights on very low – just to start off with and what we’ll do – for you see there’s energy forming here – I’ll show the girls some energy.” (Maureen) “I can see the cone just flickering all the time.” (PM) “Yes, something’s walking backwards and forwards on your side – come on Kevin – you can do more than that – get your finger out! – can you see it wiggling? (Presumably PM means the trumpet) – at the top – that’s him - (someone says: “blocking it now”). (PM) “Tell me Jess, it is Jess? (She assents) - Can you see the top of the trumpet – can you see it wiggling? (Jess: “Yes, a little bit – I can see it going out. ”) (PM) “ There’s someone stepped in front of it – like a ‘lighthouse effect’ (Jess: “Yes”) (PM) “ And also, if you look at the bottom of it – can you see the little marks around the bottom? – there’s a hand on the bottom.- (Jess: “Yes”) – can you see it? (“Yes”) – it keeps disappearing – just above the band? (Jess: “Where the band is – a bit of it goes dark”) (PM) “Carlos can you see that? (Carlos: “Yes”) (PM) “Can you see the – the wiggling? (Carlos: “Yes, yes”) (PM) “And the band? (“Yes”) (PM) “Don’t worry, nothings going to harm you – you are OK – if you – umm – you reach out your hand in front of you – just put your hands out in front of you – you don’t have to – to – break – break hands – put your hands out in front of you – and gently lift your hands up and down – just wave them gently – can you feel – err – the static electricity – can you feel it? – (Someone says “yes”) – like little cobwebs of electricity – that’s actually energy in the room – that’s ectoplasm – that’s starting to form – almost like cobwebs isn’t it? – can you feel that – err – Carlos? (Carlos: “Yes”) (PM) Yes – you feel it round your hands? – (“Yes”) – like a little tingling? – (“Yes”) -  yup – that’s the energy – that’s good – ooo you’re a psychic lot tonight!!! –  (Relaxed chatting for a while and concern expressed about the increasingly obvious closeness of a great many sheep now surrounding the house!). (PM) “Karl – lower the lights! – I’m just going to relax everybody down – purely and simply because – err – I can feel the tension – as I said we’ve got some young people here who have never sat in a Circle before. (PM) “Now, you may notice a smell of ammonia in the air – can you smell that? – a sharp smell in the air – (Tracey) “ I’ve got the ‘bloody’ taste in my mouth”. (PM)” Yes, metallic taste.” (PM) “It’s Jan – (Jess corrects him: “Jess”) (PM) “Put your hands forward towards the trumpet now look at your hands – now put your hand up slowly there – and then down – look at your hands – tell me what’s happening to your hands”. (Jess: “ I see a line down them .” (PM) “Yes, you see that line of energy? – going across it – sparkling isn’t it? (Yes) – “sparkling isn’t it” – (“Yes”) – now – there’s my hands and your hands – Karl can you lighten the blue light please – I just want to relax them and show them the energy – so that they know what they are dealing with – they have got nothing to worry about – turn it off a little bit, (the light) – look between our fingers – (Tracey) “There’s a light on down there”. (PM) “Carlos, look between your fingers – can you see our fingers? (“Yes) – now look between them – tell me what you see – misty lines – you see the misty lines? – (“Yes”) – now I’m not touching you – but you can feel that can’t you? – (“Yes”) – you can feel it rubbing against you – its ectoplasm on your fingers although I am not touching you – can you see the lights? – yes? – what’s your name? – (“Nancy”) (PM) “Nancy, can you see the lights? – little misty lights – (“Yes”) -  what I want you to do is – Carlos give me your hand – here in front of – err – Jess – Jess – look between your fingers – move your fingers – move your hands backwards and forwards – can you see the lines between your fingers? (PM) “It’s slowly working its way around the Circle – you may feel it your side first. (M): “Its like someone’s in between us”. (PM) “Yes”. (At this point Karl reduced the light levels further because, apparently, even very low light intensities can adversely affect psychic activity). (Karl) “They kept showing me a lamp, so……..” (PM) “Just keep your feet connected up.” (They are seated in a Circle, hand in hand and it is important that this linkage remains intact). (PM) “Can I say to the girls here to my left – you may feel tingling across your face like cobwebs – can you feel that? – can you feel the cobwebs?”
(Karl) “Maureen, have you had a problem with your wheelybins – wheelybins – green wheelybins? – there’s some issue with the rubbish?” (M) “No”. Big back yard: Twenty-two generations leave many secrets out in the yard. (Carlos) “Its making noises now” (PM) “Yes, because they are saying that you need to pick – you are needing to get a different one – you understand – yes – you are going to have a car – you don’t have one at the moment do you?” (Carlos) “I have one” (PM) “You have one?” (“Yes”) – because what I’ve got here is its like it’s a very old one isn’t it?- its falling to bits!” – (laughter) – (“Yes”) – but you haven’t had it long have you? – (“No”) – no – because this is what he is saying – its like – umm – it was hardly worth having – (More mirth) – is it blue?- (“No, its black!” – black? – (“Yes”) – well what I’ve got here is I’ve got a blue car so I think the next one you are going to get is going to be a blue car”.

(Tracey’s voice) “I’m hearing rattling behind the Cabinet”. (PM) “Your hearing rattling –  (“Yes”) - your hearing rattling – just inside?” – (“Yes”) – its like a ‘crackling noise’ – (“Yes”) – yes, that’s the energy building the ectoplasm - well done Chris! – come on – there’s someone called Chris – you can also feel the coldness now? – (Someone replies: “Yes”) -  (Karl) “Carlos – (Carlos: “Yes”) – they are showing me a picture of a wolf – does that mean anything to you?”(Carlos: “A wolf!”) – yes a wolf – is there a wolf near where you live? – they are showing me a picture of a wolf – there’s a wolf’s head.” (Carlos seems puzzled). (Karl) “Is there a wolf or coyote” (Discussion of the relative sizes and appearance of S American canines follows in order to make sense of this contact). (Karl) “There’s a very big book you have to read at the moment Carlos – its like a big book and its like you are having to read it very quickly – do you like to read very quickly? – (Carlos) “Err, no not very quickly – I like to read if I have to – if I’m lucky really I gonna do a plumbing course – maybe they give me books I have to read quickly.” (Karl) “ It’s like manuals you have to read quickly – as I say, it’s a big book – its like your speed reading it - you have to get through it – it’s a lot of work  - that’s basically what they are showing me – it’s a big book – pages you have to get through.”

(PM to everyone) “Are you tired? – are your eyes sticky? (Girl’s voices) “Yes.” (Karl keeps referring to the ‘wolf’s head and apparently ‘they showed him South America’ and he hoped that some sense would come of it). (Karl to Carlos) “Do you like to move about a lot? – have you moved a lot?- from one place to the next? (Carlos) “Err – yes I do not stay in the same place………..yes I move a lot really”.

Conversation turns to the woollen army now surrounding the house. Patrick remarks that “it is ‘animal farm out there!”

(PM) “Why is Audrey talking about your hair, Maureen? – I tell you what – no – its something which is quite personal here – coz - did Audrey have something wrong with her hair which she used to cover up – she had bald patches.” (Maureen) “She had ‘dodgy curtains’. (Much merriment) – no, she’s showing me – who in the family has got trouble with their hair at the moment – (Maureen) “I know who did have – my sister Sue” (PM) “Right, OK - so you know that – it demoralised her? – (M) “She tried to hide it.” (PM) “OK – so you understand – this is something that I wouldn’t know so it’s a secret she’s giving you that you would know about as proof that she’s here – so its – um – its difficult for although we know one another we don’t know one another very well – which is an advantage as I cant – umm – (M) “And also Jennifer had a bald patch – (PM: “Did she?”) – when she was going to have an operation on her head that’s – they had to shave her head.”

(PM) “Can anyone smell paraffin? (Maureen) “No, it’s a weird smell” (Tracey) “Malcolm could have the fire going ………” (Maureen) “It’s like a very bittery smell”. Apparently everyone was now experiencing problems with their eyes – (PM) “Everyone’s eyes are streaming now” – and everyone seemed to agree. (PM)”The energy transference – Hello Kevin!!”. (Maureen) “I feel like somebody’s putting a vice on my head!” (PM) “Its like that headache you’ve been having Tracey?” – (“Yes”). (PM) “Are you OK your side girls? – Carlos, you OK? (C) “Yes, I’m alright”. (PM) “Are you feeling anything around your head?” (C) “Yes, a bit…….” (PM) “A headache!” (Tracey) “Jan you feel anything?” Janet replies but it is too faint to decipher. (PM)” Yes, there’s a lot of ectoplasm here and you can all feel cobwebs on your face”. (Carlos: “Yes”). (PM) “You may also see that the trumpet grows bigger and then smaller because its stretching”.

(PM) “If you look up above you you’ll see clouds of ectoplasm – can you see those luminous clouds above you – (Someone: “Yes”) – there’s no light up there but you can see clouds – can you see them? – (Carlos: “Yes”) – as I said, it’s a dark room so you shouldn’t be able to see them – which proves that they are luminous clouds – (“Yes”) – so you can see them moving around”. (Karl) “What you see are kind of bluish lights – dull blue lights”. (Maureen) “Like a kind of dim ultra-violet” (Karl) “So what happens is that Patrick and others are creating this kind of energy to allow you to see these things because normally you would not get this – that’s what its all about really – we are creating this Circle of energy – its like a big experiment.” He went on to tell Carlos that “ You will get good news………..I’m seeing this big book again – its like your going to start studying again.”

(PM) “You notice how dark it is becoming – the clouds up above us have gone” (Karl) “I know that you are from South America Carlos, but there is a Red Indian standing behind you and err – err – he looks North American because I don’t think the South Americans had long headdresses” At this point the conversation dropped to more mundane matters such as Tracey acquiring a suitable table for Circle to use. (PM to Tracey) “There is a lot of energy – a lot of healing energy going into you – your guides are working on you and as I said you are very hyper-sensitised – one of the reasons is that you are developing at a mad rate now – Maureen will tell you all about it”. (Merriment followed). (PM) “I tell you – Kevin has all the bounce and a little bit more!” (M) “We are aging this side – he’s not” (PM) “Well, that’s true” (PM) “The intensity of energy is so incredible – nearly – I’m bursting with energy here – its really burning me – I’m gonna – umm – can you connect up – you two girls – are you connected? (Girls: “Yes”) – err – Tracey are you connected? – (“Yes”) – feet? (Feet are generally shuffled to connect one to another making a circle) – so I can be free because I’m going to go back into the Cabinet – come on Kevin! – we’ve come a long way! – this is your opportunity! - I’m pulling the Curtain back so that the energy can surround…(Karl explained to everyone that the Cabinet is really only a curtain suspended on a rod effectively sealing off one corner of the room. The ‘darkness’ helps the energy to grow. (PM) “Depending on the conditions they can move things, they can talk, they can create – sometimes it comes out on film”.

Several people spoke of feeling tired and apparently this is an effect of participation in a Circle. (Karl) “I’m getting someone sticking something in my ear” This seemed to be happening to other participants too. He saw a ‘blue light’ behind someone and felt a ‘dryness’ in his mouth – another effect often felt. (Karl) “What’s the issue at the toilet? (Much amusement) – he’s showing me a toilet seat”. (Maureen) “Carlos wants to be a plumber!!!” (PM) “I’ve got something gripping me all the way round the chest area and around the stomach – it’s a band of energy that’s drawing me back – the energy is quite intense – I can feel them actually walking through the Cabinet here – you may feel it against you Tracey.” (K) “I’m starting to feel those breezes”. (Maureen) “Yes” (PM) “It’s the energy coming down from the Cabinet – if I ‘go out’ you take over (to Karl)”. (K) “OK”.

(K) “For some reason they are showing me a book which has been ripped down the side of it – its like an old book - (It could have been Janet responding to this and referring to a number of old books in my possession) – and Tracey are you thinking of buying a necklace something around your neck – he is showing me an open neck – (Tracey is baffled) – they are showing a small – err – radio – possibly a digital radio – small – medium sized – (Nick) “Is it a transmitter?” – (K) “No…(Some further conversation but too indistinct to record. I could just make out that Karl was getting something about a ‘tomb’ in the grounds of Greenways – “It’s something to do with the War – an Air Raid Shelter perhaps - they are showing me a shovel”)

A long silence follows during which Karl extols everyone to ‘try and keep connected’

(PM) “All right – Break! – Break! Everyone takes an opportunity to stretch cramped limbs. They have been sitting in a Circle, connected by hand and foot, for one hour and twenty-eight minutes!! (PM) “Now, girls if you put your hands above your head and just gently wave them backwards and forwards – feel that energy around you – can you feel it? – (Girls: “Yes”) – quite strong isn’t it? - Carlos can you feel it? - (Carlos: “I wasn’t listening- sorry!!” (Much laughter) (PM) “Right Karl put the red light on very, very low – just very, very low – (They have raised the light levels so that movement does not entail risking life and limb). Karl keeps calling Maureen ‘Audrey’ and PM says, “I tell you what, the presence of Audrey is so strong – her presence is so strong here…” (PM) “If you look at the trumpet – can you see it moving? – (Tracey: “Its moving”) – can you see it moving girls? - can you see it moving Carlos – (“Yes”). (Karl) “ I can see a light beside Tracey” (PM) “There has been a light between me and Tracey for some time – this energy here – and also a lot of you will have that ‘metallic’ taste in your mouth – right, put the camera back on – (My viewing camera) – there’s some very bright energy in here now – standing up I can feel it all over me” (Karl) “I can see tones of – ectoplasmic light – rods – can you see by Patrick there’s a mist of lines and lines – (Maureen) “Like the Aurora or the Northern Lights”. (K) “Yes – Oh the light went up!” (PM) “That’s because they wanted it to go up – look around the area of the floor – look at your knees –can you see all those clouds there – see the density there – just look around the trumpet – and you will see there’s objects on the floor – can you see the clouds formation. (In response to Maureen enquiring whether they were all linked up again – this was confirmed by Karl)

(Tracey) “There’s someone standing behind me” (PM) “Between you and me – just here” – (“Yes”) – they are looking over your shoulder actually. Carlos – (“Yes”) – look towards me and look between me and Tracey here – tell me what you see around us – (Carlos:“I can’t see you properly – I can’t see your faces – all blurred.”). (PM) “All blurred” – (“Yes”) – its called ‘Transfiguration’- look at my face closely – you should be able to see my face – but all you can see is a cloud in front – (“Yes”) – you look at it and you will see it changing – (Carlos:“I can see your body but not your face –the shape”). (PM) “Describe it Tracey.” (Tracey) “It’s vibrating”. (PM) “Yes, yours and mine anyway speeds up to such a degree – do you feel a mild vibration? – (Tracey) “Like going along those escalators at airports?” (PM) “Yes”(Tracey) “Its not moving its like………….” (PM) “Carlos – (“Yes”) – look down to your knees – (“Yes”) – now, can you feel a pressure on your knees? – like there’s something on top of them – (“Yes”) – like something’s sitting on your knees – (“Yes”) – can you see the formations there – like little balls of light? – you can feel – like – two hands pushing down on your knees? – (“Yes”) – if you look towards the left towards Jan – just slightly to the left – you’ll see something going off – can you see that orange formation going off towards – err – Jan – next to you? - can you see a cloud going off in that direction? – (“Yes”) – now, look at that cloud – can you see a movement of it – can you see it moving? (“The pressures getting harder). (PM) “Its getting harder now because the energy – the ectoplasmic rods that are coming down from Jan’s direction is actually pressurizing down on your knees and its actually forming a shape there on your lap – you’ll feel it moving – you can feel it moving on your knees now? – (“Yes”) –I’m just looking at it and I can see it moving – it’s a rod going across.” (Karl) “Carlos, are you waiting for a phone call? They have just put a phone……. also, err, why are they showing me a Chef’s hat? – like cooking? (Carlos): “I’m a Chef”. (K) “A Chef”? (Carlos:“Yes). (Karl: “ he’s showing me a Chef’s hat and – you’re not waiting on a job or something? (Carlos) “yes, I’m waiting – to be a plumber really!!!!! (Universal laughter) – well OK, this is the phone call – (Carlos) “On Wednesday, I’ve got an interview” (Karl) “OK – so the phone call is the interview and you are a Chef – (“Yes”)

(PM) “Feel this energy Tracey, its intense – can you feel it hanging off your face? (Tracey) “You know, I’ve got neck ache!” (Someone: “Face itching”). (PM) “Face itching, stiff neck – err – and you feel the tickling all across your face – it’s the energy building. Can you feel the energy coming up through your feet Tracey? - (“Yes”) – vibrating, tingling – (Tracey:“Pins and needles”).

(Karl) “He’s said I’m getting an Orb”.  (PM) “Where – maybe he’s seen one – they’ll be on the film, they will be recorded. (Karl) “He said, I did see an Orb” (PM) “He’ll have it timed as well –(They are referring to my having seen a very clear Orb move rapidly from Tracey to Patrick, at approx 1hour and 42 minutes into the Circle Session,). (Tracey) “Is Mary Rose here?”(PM) “Margaret is here and Cheyne whoever Cheyne is. Margaret would you like to make an appearance for us? - can you smell the ammonia in the room now? – can you smell it? (Someone: “No”) – they are producing this energy and it is very sharp – (Tracey) “I’ve got the iron taste in my mouth” – (Karl asks Patrick about the name Cheyne and Patrick gets, “Something about them being here in three weeks time – them being here in three weeks time – then they’ll come – (Someone: “Really”) – then they’ll be told – so I think, there’s some kind of clairvoyant message being given – and I’m also getting Rose – she’s giving me Rose – I’ve also got a name like Cliff or Clifford – its like – there’s an orderly queue being formed –(Someone:” what? – for three weeks!”) – “Yes – its coming together – its like each time we hold a Circle here there are guides being attached to different people and we are having an impact in different ways on different people’s lives – I tell you what’s happening at the moment is that there are healing guides coming around you who are actually helping you with problems which you have there’s something with your blood and also with your eyes, (Not clear to whom these remarks were addressed) –and I’ve got this Indian – called ‘Running Dog’ – we’ve got that before Karl? – (“Yes”) – is there somebody here who could show themselves on the film for us, or, speak to us?” (Karl) “Can some Spirit Guide create the energy and make an Orb appear in the centre of the Circle?” (PM) “Can you billow the curtain? (Of the Cabinet) – can an Orb come or can one of the spirits present show themselves on film for us? – can you come out of the Cabinet – I can see you there – I can see this spirit between us – I know your there – can you show yourself on film for us please? - is it possible for you to…” (Karl) “Can you show a light between Patrick and Tracey?”

(PM) “I can smell Pot Purée! – (Maureen) “I just got perfume” – (PM) “rose smell – roses – Pot Purée – very strong – can you smell it girls? - like roses? (Maureen) “A sweet smell”. (PM) “Yes, a sweet smell – that usually happens when Mary Rose – you get that smell – Mary Rose – I know you used to be in the room next door – can you make a noise in the room next door for us? –  can you manifest yourself for us in some other way?

(PM) “Look down on the floor – (Tracey: “Uh hummm”) - can you see that cloud there – that’s moving about on the floor between us – (Tracey: “Yes”) – that’s it – you see it moving? – and it come up and hits you in the eyes every now and again.” (Some whispered conversation ensues which I cannot hear). (Tracey) “My ear – something in my ear?” (PM) “That’s the rod going into your ear” (PM) “You felt that – now that perfume smells much stronger smell it – you smell it? – its very, very strong………” (Tracey) “Is Mary Rose here? (PM) “Yes”. (Tracey) “Mary Rose, we are so sorry that we have not replaced the flowers in the bedroom – we totally forgot”. (PM) “That’s why there is the smell of flowers – roses”. (Tracey) “Sincere apologies”.

(Karl) “Shall I turn the red light off?” (PM) “Just a sec – I’ve got this rod in my ear – the rods are all going into place – the point is if you want to see this – OK turn it off”. (Karl turns this light off, whist moving with some care in the darkness). (Maureen) “Your outline, Pat, is really large”. (PM) “ Yes, the point was, I’ve got this spirit attached to my back and that’s why you saw it – it’s like a blue halo going around the top of my back.” (Maureen) “All I could see was the shoulders”.

(Karl) “Mary Rose – Mary Rose, can you please appear as before – I saw you as a light before in the Cabinet area.”

(Tracey) “I’m seeing twinkles before the trumpet……(talking softly to Karl)….it is very cloudy before the trumpet…………” (Further conversation follows but too indistinct to read).

(Karl) “…..I’m getting pressure on my shoulders – is anyone else getting pressure on their shoulders?”. (Someone: “Yes”).

(Karl) “I can feel something sticking into my shoulder – a pinprick – you get that?” (Tracey) “I am getting it in my ears”. (Karl) “I heard two taps – can somebody do that again? – is that Thomas? - is that Thomas? - is that Mary Rose?” (Tracey) “Francis are you there?”

(PM) “Come on Karl – put that red light back on…………they are taking the energy from all of us for some reason”.

(Karl – to everyone) “OK, who’s knackered!! – feels like a hard days plumbing!! (Amusement)  - or a heavy dose in the kitchen This is why they call it a ‘Physical Circle’ because they actually take the energy from you – they drain you.”

(PM) “Watch my hand – everybody look – watch my hand as it goes towards Tracey – (Someone: “Its gone!”) – yes – it goes into this person that is here next to her……the energy really is quite intense here.” (Someone: “Is someone standing behind you?” (PM) “Yes, has been for sometime actually – leaning across actually between the two of you – there’s – um – a Red Indian Platt – I don’t know whether you have ever seen  ‘Silver Birch’ but its like him but it is not him and he’s quite happy actually and keeps leaning between you – and its something about – he’s presenting a child – in a pabloos – an Indian carrier in front of you its something – you – you want children? (Girl’s voice but very indistinct) – seriously – its funny coz for some reason I’m seeing this Indian putting forward this baby in a pabloos just in front of you here – just here. I’m seeing this – it may be just the birth of a spiritual idea or a new beginning and its representation – err – of something new in your life – a new start – a fresh start – a beginning – a rebirth – a new way of looking at things – from the sublime to the ridiculous – are you having trouble with your teeth?”

(At this point the recording ended. As usual, the Circle ended after two hours – not an unusual duration – with a prayer of thanks to the Great Spirit, Spirits and Guides and finally the participants actually applaud them for all of their help).
